MARK LIVINGSTON
Mark Livingston was named the Associate Athletics Director for Development and Executive Director of the Stinger Athletic Association on Oct. 18, 2007.
Livingston, formerly the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing, oversees all aspects of athletic development, including the annual fund drive and all fundraising special events and major gifts.
A native of Spokane, Wash., Livingston joined the Sacramento State athletics department in 2003 after having served two years as the director of marketing at the University of Hawai’i. He also served as executive director of the 2000 Humanitarian Bowl and began his athletics career as a graduate assistant at Gonzaga University in 1999.
Livingston is a 1993 graduate of Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in speech communication and a 2004 graduate of Gonzaga with a master’s degree in athletic administration. Livingston and his wife, Aimee, are the parents of a son, Turner, and a daughter, Jade.
TINA BLESSEN
A member of the Sacramento State athletics department since 2006, Tina Blessen became the Assistant Director of Development in February of 2010. Prior to her current position, she served as the department’s compliance coordinator (2007-10) and worked as an administrative assistant/travel coordinator (2006-07).
Before arriving at Sacramento State, Blessen spent five years working in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s athletic department. She first served as an academic counselor before making the transition to director of volleyball operations. Blessen received her master’s degree in sports management (2002) from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in psychology (2000) from Nebraska Wesleyan University. A native of Pender, Neb., she was a four-year letterwinner for the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team.
As Sacramento State’s Assistant Director of Development, Blessen will be responsible for special event planning, coordinating all VIP functions, helping to fulfill membership benefits, and giving overall support to all areas of the Stinger Athletic Association.
