The “Stingers” were established in the early I980’s to build revenue for all 20 athletic programs at Sacramento State. The Stinger Athletic Association (SAA) supporters are vital for Sacramento State’s ability to provide a first class Division I experience for our nearly 500 student-athletes.
Each gift is essential to the success of Sacramento State Athletics. With tuition costs rising annually, the Stingers’ largest challenge is funding scholarships while increasing funding for our entire athletics future both on the playing field, and in the classroom.
In addition to your contribution, we need your help with our annual membership drive. Recently, we began the “Stinger Athletic Association Plus One” campaign. It is an initiative to double our donor base by 20I2. If you know a Hornet fan that is not a member of the SAA, please encourage them to join. Doubling our membership will help our student-athletes compete at the Division I level and help them become professional and business leaders long after their playing days have ended.
How Can You Help?
• Join the Stinger Athletic Association today. For as little as $I0 a month, you can make a direct impact on Sacramento State student-athletes' lives.
• “Stinger Plus One!” If every Stinger Athletic Association member got one person to join, we’d reach our goal of doubling our membership by 20I2.

• Stinger Athletic Association Business Membership. Have your business be a part of a new program designed to give businesses recognition, visibility and an avenue to support deserving student-athletes in their own community.
