2011 Season: Competed in four meets as a true freshman…ran 25:36.8 at the Doc Adams Invitational for his fastest 8K time.
High School: A 2011 graduate of El Camino HS in Sacramento…earned all-Capital Athletic League and all-state honors…placed 10th at the state meet…set the school record in the 3,200m and the distance medley relay…best times were 4:24 in the 1,600, 9:35 in the 3,200 and 16:17 in the 5K.
Personal: Majoring in business…parents are Ahmad and Silvina Abbas.
