COLE YOUNGER NAMED BIG SKY CONFERENCE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

OGDEN, Utah — Sacramento State sophomore Cole Younger was named the Big Sky Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Younger in his career.

Younger led the Hornets at the Stanford Invitational, completing the 8K course in 24:44. His time placed him five seconds ahead of his nearest teammate.

This season, Younger has had the fastest time on the team in two of the team's three meets and finished second in the other.

Sacramento State will next compete at the Gator Invitational on Friday, Oct. 7, in San Francisco.
