Lauren Weaver Title: Assistant Coach Experience: 4th Year Alma Mater: Belmont, '08 Bio: Lauren Weaver is in her fourth season as an assistant coach at Sacramento State. The former standout at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., assists in coaching the cross country teams and the distance runners. Weaver graduated from Belmont in 2008 after a stellar career. She competed at the 2007 NCAA Div. I Cross Country and 2008 Outdoor Track & Field Championships during her senior season. She currently holds the Belmont record in both the mile (4:56.92) and the 1,500 (4:29.35). Weaver also won the Atlantic Sun title in the 5K in 2004 and 2008 and was the conference cross country champion in 2007. Weaver has also competed in several USATF National Championship meets. Weaver, who was an academic all-Atlantic Sun selection during her career, holds degrees in both exercise science and marketing.
