CROSS COUNTRY HEADS TO SANTA CLARA BRONCO INVITATIONAL ON SATURDAY

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State cross country teams will have their final tune-up before hosting the Big Sky Conference Championships as the team competes at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Saturday in Sunnyvale, Calif.

The Hornets most recently competed at the Capital Cross Challenge two weeks ago where the women's team placed seventh and the men were eighth. Amy Quinones, who has led the team in each meet this year, finished in second place in the women's 6K race. Andres Sandoval paced the men by finishing in 17th place.

Sacramento State has routinely competed at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. Last season, the men were 10th and the women placed 11th. Elijah Changco ran 24:28.9 to lead the men over the 8K course. Quinones paced the women over the 6K course in 20:47.8 to finish 13th.
