The Hornets will compete nearly their entire team in the meet with the women boasting 10 entries and the men eight. The women's lineup will include Cagnei Duncan, Amelia Pear, Amy Quinones, Denise Reis and Rachel Victor who all competed at the Big Sky Championships or NCAA West Regional a year ago. Quinones has led the team in all six races over the last two years.

The Sacramento State men will be looking to fill holes left by four graduated seniors. Elijah Changco will remain one of the team leaders after recording the fastest time on the team in the final five meets of the year. Tristen Thomson is the only other returner from last season's team who will run on Saturday for the Hornets. The team will also feature redshirt freshmen Shane Marshall, true freshmen Abraham Maldonado and Santiago Ruiz as well as transfers Andres Sandoval and Ross Walker.

"The team has worked really hard this summer and is excited to get out on the course and see it pay off," Sacramento State cross country coach. "The plan is for the team to run together and work as a pack."

Sacramento State will next compete at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 15.
