The Hornets, who also clinched the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky Tournament with the victory, improved to 20-10 overall and 11-2 in the Big Sky. In addition, Sacramento State recorded its ninth-consecutive 20-win season and 23rd in the last 25 years.

Eastern Washington clinched the No. 1 seed and the right to host the Big Sky Tournament after its victory over Montana State last night. Both the Eagles and Hornets will receive a first-round bye in the tournament, which will take place in Cheney, Wash. (Nov. 20-22). Sacramento State has now finished at least second in the Big Sky standings every year since joining the league in 1996.

Weber State lost for the 14th time in its last 18 matches as the team dropped to 7-18 overall and 3-10 in the Big Sky. Sacramento State snapped a three-match losing streak in Ogden, Utah, as the team had been swept in two of those three contests.

Bandimere''s 17 kills accompanied a .469 hitting percentage as the Roseville, Calif., native finished with an average of 5.67 kills per game and just two errors in 32 total attacks. The Hornets hit .361 as a team as Bandimere, junior Emily Wilson (13 kills, .571), sophomore Shannon Arts (nine kills, .533) and senior Lisa Beauchene (seven kills, .462) each hit better than .400.

The Hornets limited Weber State to a .101 hitting percentage as no Wildcat player hit better than .250. Sacramento State dominated the match from start to finish, as the team led the Wildcats in kills (56-41), assists (50-39), hitting percentage, digs (42-35) and team blocks (10-2). Arts had six blocks and Beauchene added five to lead the Hornets at the net.

Freshman Kristin Lutes was the only Hornet to finish with double digits in digs as the Kent, Wash., native had 14. Weber State was led by Michelle Smith (11 kills) and Kris Hollingsworth (10 kills).

Sacramento State closes out the regular season tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 15) on the road against Idaho State at 6 p.m. PST. The Hornets have defeated the Bengals 13-consecutive times since 1997.
