2010 Season
Appeared in 24 matches (one start) and 35 sets…averaged 0.49 kills and 0.77 blocks per set while hitting .189…had four kills, a .429 hitting percentage and three blocks against Portland…received her lone start against UTSA…had three kills, a .429 hitting percentage and two blocks at home against Northern Arizona…also had three blocks against both UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Bakersfield.

High School
A 2010 graduate of Franklin High School in El Paso, Texas…played four years of volleyball, and one season each of soccer and track…in volleyball, she helped lead Franklin’s varsity squad to three consecutive district championships (2006-08) and a district runner-up finish in 2009…a two-time all-district selection (first team in 2009, second team in 2008)…also named first team all-city during her senior season after finishing with 226 kills, 159 blocks and a .308 hitting percentage…that breaks down to averages of 1.85 kills and 1.30 blocks per set…over her final three seasons, Franklin combined for a 66-17 overall record and a 42-3 conference mark…a two-time academic all-district selection.

Personal
A family and consumer sciences major…parents are Steve and Lanetta Newcomb…played two years of club volleyball for the El Paso Sun Spots of El Paso (2008-10)…sister, April, plays on the Huston-Tillotson University volleyball squad.
