SATURDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ALUMNI MATCH TO FEATURE MANY FAMILIAR FACES

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Former Hornet head coach Debby Colberg and assistant Weidi Zhang will make their return to the Hornets Nest sidelines this Saturday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. for the annual Sacramento State volleyball alumni match.

Colberg will guide a star-packed alumni lineup of 12 players that combined to accumulate 45 Big Sky Conference championships during their careers. Among those players include outside hitters Atlee HubbardJennifer FergusonDesiree HoyumShannon Roland and current Hornet assistant coach Sarah Chlebana, middle hitters Tasman Dwyer, Michelle Franz and Emily Wilson, rightside hitters Kazmiera Imrie and Leah Klemenhagen, setter Kristi Deter (Lambert) and defensive specialist Mallory Hook.

Third-year head coach Ruben Volta will guide the 2010 squad which has won five of its last eight matches and is currently enjoying its lone bye week of the season.

Sacramento State, which has won 11 Big Sky Conference championships since joining the league in 1996, has just seven matches remaining on this year’s regular season schedule. The Hornets’ final two home contests of the year will take place on Nov. 12 (Montana) and Nov. 13 (Montana State).
