SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento State athletics department announced today that it will provide live audio and live stats for each of the five matches at this week’s Big Sky Conference Volleyball Tournament (Nov. 23-24 inside the Hornets Nest). Live video of each match will be made available for a fee on www.bigskytv.org.

Live stats for each match can be accessed by clicking here or going to the “Live Stats” link along the left column of the volleyball page inside Sacramento State’s website.
The tournament’s quarterfinal and semifinal matches will all take place on Thursday, Nov. 23. In the first quarterfinal at 9:30 a.m., No. 4 seed Weber State will take on No. 5 Northern Colorado. In the second quarterfinal at 11:30 a.m. (or a half hour after the conclusion of the first quarterfinal), No. 3 Eastern Washington faces No. 6 Northern Arizona.
The first semifinal match will feature No. 1 seed Portland State taking on the lowest remaining seed at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, and No. 2 Sacramento State will square off against the highest remaining seed in the second semifinal at 7:30 p.m. (or a half hour after the first semifinal ends).
The championship match features the winners of each semifinal and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. The winner of the championship receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, a place Sacramento State has been each of the last five years and nine times in the last 10.
All five matches will take place inside the Hornets Nest, located on the Sacramento State campus. Brian Berger, who has served as the play-by-play announcer for Hornet volleyball each of the last five years, will call all the action during the tournament.
Sacramento State earned the right to host this year’s Big Sky Tournament after winning the conference’s regular season championship last season.
