SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Current and former Hornets will square off at Sacramento State's annual volleyball alumni match tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 23).

The match, which begins at 5 p.m., is free to the public and takes place at Colberg Court, will showcase the current Hornet squad taking on former Sacramento State players.

The alumni team will be comprised of 14 players, including current assistant coach Sarah Chlebana (1997-00), Jackie Coudert (2004), Eryn Kirby (2008-11), Kelsey Elston (2008-11), Sydney Kordic (2009-12), Sandra Bandimere (2001-04), Katie Aprile (2010-13), Jessie Genger (2011-12), Kayla Beal (2010-13), Emily Wilson (2001-04), Kazmiera Imrie (2000-03), Atlee Hubbard (2004-06), Chelcy Motes (2012-13) and Desiree Hoyum (2006-09).

Former longtime head coach Debby Colberg and assistant coach Weidi Zhang will also be in attendance, coaching the Alumni squad.

The current team is just seven days away from the start of the regular season when the Hornets will play at a two-day, four-match tournament in Charlotte, N.C. Sacramento State will take on both UNC Greensboro and ETSU on Friday, Aug. 29, and both Morgan State and host Charlotte on Saturday, Aug. 30.

NOTES – The court will be open for players to warm up at 4 p.m. Shirts and knee pads will be provided to all alumni players.
