GOLD RIVER, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak with a 7-0 sweep of Big Sky Conference foe Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon at the Spare Time Indoor Tennis Club.

Sacramento State (10-9, 4-0) remained perfect in the Big Sky with the win on Saturday. The Hornets have now won an amazing 87 straight Big Sky Conference dual matches, including both the regular season and conference tournament. This season, Sacramento State hosts the Big Sky Tournament on April 21-22 at the Spare Time Indoor Tennis Club.

The Hornets had lost four of their previous five matches in non-conference play, but rebounded with a big league win against Eastern Washington.

Sacramento State gave up just four total points in its three doubles matches as the Hornets easily took the doubles point.

In singles play, each of the Hornets won in straight sets, including two 6-1, 6-0 victories by Rebeca Delgado at No. 2 and Katharina Knoebl at No. 5. Freshman Andrea Gomez Carus also had a perfect set in a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.

Sacramento State plays at Montana and Montana State next weekend and will close out the schedule with matches against UC Irvine, Denver and Northern Colorado before the conference tournament.
