WOMEN'S TENNIS SNAPS FOUR MATCH LOSING STREAK, SWEEPS NORTHERN COLORADO 7-0

Clarisse Baca won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and the Hornets swept Northern Colorado.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The No. 42 ranked Sacramento State women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak and improved to 2-0 in Big Sky Conference play with a 7-0 sweep of Northern Colorado on Wednesday afternoon at Spare Time Indoor Tennis Club.
The Hornets improve to 7-5 (2-0 Big Sky) this season with the win while the Bears slide to 4-11 (1-4 Big Sky) with the loss.
Sacramento State also swept Montana State, 7-0, in their first conference dual match this season on Feb. 26.
Sacramento State won all three doubles matches and swept all six singles matches in straight sets. Clarisse Baca was perfect in a 6-0, 6-0 win over UNC's Elizabeth Tapia at No. 3 singles.
Freshman Katharina Knoebl improved to a team-best 7-3 in singles play while Baca and Maria Meliuk pushed their doubles mark to a team-best 8-2.
All in all, the Hornets lost just 12 games out of 72 total in six singles matches.
Sacramento State will be back in action this weekend in southern California, with matches at San Diego State on Saturday and at San Diego on Sunday.
