Katharina Knoebl improved to a team-best 8-3 in singles play as the Hornets beat FSU.
FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 42 Sacramento State women's tennis team improved its record to 3-4 against nationally ranked squads with a 5-2 dual match win over No. 67 Fresno State on Thursday afternoon at the Wathen Tennis Center. The dual was a make up match for the one rained out on Feb. 19.
The Hornets improved 8-5 with the win while the Bulldogs fell to 4-8 with the loss.
Sacramento State took two of three matches in doubles play to win the doubles point and won four-of-six singles match to earn the 5-2 win.
Katharina Knoebl won again, her third straight singles win, to improve upon her team-best 8-3 record.
The No. 68 ranked doubles tandem of Tatsiana Kapshai and Rebeca Delgado on 8-2 at No. 1 doubles to push their season mark to 6-3. Maria Meliuk and Clarisse Baca won their fourth straight doubles match and team-best 10th this season.
Sacramento State will play this weekend at both San Diego State and the University of San Diego.
