AS A FRESHMAN (2007)
Voted the Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player and first team all-conference as a freshman…earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors three straight weeks (Feb. 6-20)…went 18-5 in singles play, all at No. 1…four of her five losses came against opponents ranked 64th or better…lost to defending national champion Suzie Babos of Cal, 6-2, 4-6, (10-7), in her first collegiate dual match…led the team with three three-set victories…recorded wins in both the semifinals and finals of the Big Sky Tournament…limited opponents to five games or less in 15 of her 18 wins…only two of her five losses came in straight sets…was 16-8 in doubles…went 11-3 at No. 1 with Luba Schifris…combined with Cecilia Helland to go 5-1, including 4-1 at No. 2...was the only Hornet to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships, upsetting 24th-ranked Vanja Corovic of the University of Texas, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 in the first round...in the second round of the tournament, she led, 30-love, and 5-3 in the first set against seventh-ranked Natalie Frazier of the University of Georgia before falling, 7-5, 6-3.
