STANFORD, Calif. - Tatsiana Kapshai upset Florida International's No. 62 ranked Liset Brito in straight sets on Wednesday night in the first round of the NCAA Singles Championships at Stanford's Taube Family Stadium.

The No. 102 ranked Kapshai, the reigning two-time Big Sky Conference MVP, improved to 12-9 on the season with a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Kapshai missed the middle part of the season due to injury but has now won five of her last seven matches.
