WOMEN'S TENNIS DRAWS ARKANSAS IN FIRST ROUND OF NCAA TOURNAMENT

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's tennis team drew regional host Arkansas in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.
The No. 47 ranked Hornets will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to battle the No. 21 ranked Razorbacks on May 14 at 11 a.m. PTcat the George M. Billingsley Tennis Center.
Sacramento State (19-8, 8-0 Big Sky) is making its 10th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament after claiming both the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament titles in 10 straight years.
Arkansas (17-9, 6-5 SEC) was ranked as high as No. 12 in the nation this season. The Razorbacks ended their regular season by winning three of its last four duals and lost in the second round of the SEC tournament, 4-0, to Georgia.
Arkansas and Sacramento State played two common opponents in the regular season.
The Hornets lost 4-3 at No. 25 Washington while the Razorbacks won 4-0 at the ITA Naitonal Indoors. Sacramento State also fell 6-1 at No. 6 ranked California as did Arkansas, 4-2.
No. 15 overall seed and No. 15 ranked Clemson will play Wichita State in the other match at Fayetteville.
The first two rounds of the tournament are played at campus sites and once the bracket whittles down to the final 16 teams, all matches, including the championship, will be played at Stanford.
