WOMEN'S TENNIS STAYS UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE PLAY, BLANKS MONTANA, 7-0

Maria Meliuk won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles as the Hornets defeated Montana.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's tennis team stayed undefeated in Big Sky Conference play after a 7-0 victory over Montana on Saturday afternoon at the Spare Time Indoor Tennis Club.
The No. 46 ranked Hornets improved to 10-7 (3-0 Big Sky) while the Grizzlies fell to 8-9 (3-1) after their first league defeat.
Sacramento State not only has an undefeated record in conference matches, but the squad has been flawless. The Hornets have won all of their league matches by a 7-0 score and taken all but two of their 18 Big Sky Conference singles matches in straight sets.
Against the Grizzlies, the Hornets started off strong by taken all three doubles matches.
It was more of the same in singles play, as the Hornets won all six matches in straight sets. Maria Meliuk was perfect, as she won 6-0, 6-0 over Montana's Constance Alexander.
Sacramento State swept both of its matches on Saturday - defeating Montana, 7-0, after knocking off UC Davis, 6-0, earlier in the day. Doubles was not played against the No. 60 ranked Aggies.
The Hornets will look to continue their winning ways in league play as they play host to Northern Arizona at 1 p.m. tomorrow. If the weather clears the match will be held at Rio Del Oro RC otherwise it will take place once again at Spare Time Indoor TC.
