The Hornets took the doubles point winning the No. 1 and No. 2 matches. Freshmen Luba Schifris and Joyce Martinez Gutierrez improved their doubles record to 5-1 after teaming together to defeat Nuria Lozano and Nicole Luetolf 8-3. Junior Cecilia Helland and freshman Anastassia Lyssenko then defeated Vera Vasileva and Katy Clarke, 8-5 at the No. 2 spot.

Sacramento State swept the singles matches, led by Schifris, who defeated Lozano, 6-2, 6-1 at No.1. Schifris is now 8-7 on the season and 4-0 at the No.1 spot. Martinez Gutierrez then won her seventh match of the year, defeating Luetolf, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.

Freshman Karina Jarlkagonova improved to 8-7 on the year and 4-1 at the No. 3 spot, with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Vasileva. Helland picked up her 11th victory of the season, handling Lisa Clark, 6-0, 6-0.

At the No. 5 spot, Lyssenko defeated Allison Fey, 6-0, 6-4, while Svetlana Pimenova scored a win over Clarke, 6-1, 6-3.
