Sacramento State swept the doubles points, before moving onto singles and earning victories in all six matches.

Freshman Luba Schifris, improved to 3-0 at the No.1 spot with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over the Eagles’ Sayaka Yoshimoto. In the No. 2 spot, Joyce Martinez Gutierrez improved to 6-2 overall this year with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kasey Knox. Freshman Karina Jarlkaganova earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Rachel Berger at the No. 3 spot, while Cecilia Helland, now 10-4 this season, handled Eastern Washington’s Amanda Manhovits, 6-0, 6-0.

Freshman Anastassia Lyssenko defeated Marie Carroll 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 5 spot, while Irina Taranenko earned her second victory of the year, defeating Iliana Petrova, 6-4, 2-6, 10-7.

The Hornets will close out their Big Sky schedule next week, visiting Montana State on Sat., April 1, and Montana on Sunday, April 2.
