KARNAUKHOVA NAMED BIG SKY WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sophomore Margarita Karnaukhova earned her second Big Sky Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor after leading the Hornets to wins over Eastern Washington, Santa Clara and No.10 Fresno State last weekend.

The Krasnodar, Russia native handed No. 12 Jelena Pandzic of Fresno State, her first loss of the season, as she improved her singles record to 15-3 on the year. Ranked 78th in the nation for singles, Karnaukhova has been playing in the number one position all season long and has helped the Hornets win 13 matches in a row.

Sacramento State will next travel to Missoula, Montana to face Montana, Saturday at 10:00 am
