Doubles play was also dominated by Sacramento State as the Hornets clinched the doubles point with two victories. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Karnaukhova and junior Ann Roslund defeated Briana Beauchene and Maria Bublik, 8-1, and the No. 3 doubles team of junior Petra Abraham and sophomore Cristina Rivieccio defeated Elana Smith and Karla Pretorius, 8-3. Sophomores Roberta Fessenko and Amanda Sanches did not finish their doubles match as the point was already given to Sacramento State.

The Hornets had little trouble in singles play as Sacramento State clinched victory after just three matches. Karnaukhova defeated Bublik (6-1, 6-0) at No. 1, Roslund defeated Beauchene (6-3, 6-2) at the three, and Abraham wrapped up the victory with her defeat over Smith (6-0, 6-1). Fessenko, Sanches and Rivieccio did not finish their matches due to the Hornet victory.

Sacramento State will face Northern Arizona for the second-consecutive year in the Big Sky Conference Championship match in Portland, Ore., on Sunday, April 27 at 9 a.m. Last year, the Hornets defeated the Lumberjacks, 4-3, to win the Big Sky Conference title.
