In doubles play, Sacramento State won two of three matches to gain the point. Margarita Karnaukhova and Ann Roslund teamed up to defeat Ellen Svensson and Allison Hansen, 8-5, and the Hornet tandem of Petra Abraham/Cristina Rivieccio defeated Cassie Kasteler/Hilary Doyle, 9-8 (7-3). Sheri Esrock and Maria Svensson won the only doubles set for the Utes as they defeated Amanda Sanches and Roberta Fessenko, 8-4.

Singles play was also dominated by Sacramento State as the Hornets captured four of six matches. Abraham, Sanches, Rivieccio and Yasmin Kashef all defeated their Utah opponents for the final tally. Karnaukhova remained sidelined during singles play due to a back injury.

The Hornets will be back in action as they travel to San Jose State to take on the Spartans on Monday, April 21 at 2 p.m. in their final match of the regular season.
