MEN’S TENNIS ANNOUNCES BIG SKY REGIONAL SCHEDULE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men’s tennis team announced its schedule for this weekend’s Big Sky Conference Pacific Regional, hosted by Weber State in Ogden, Utah. The defending Big Sky champions look to garner the No. 1 seed out of the regional heading into the conference championships, April 26-28, hosted by Montana State.

Sacramento State will open play against Northern Arizona on Friday, April 19, at 9 a.m. PDT. The Hornets defeated the Lumberjacks, 5-1, in the championship match of the 2001 Big Sky Tournament. Sacramento State is 9-1 all-time against NAU.

On Saturday, April 20, the Hornets will face Portland State at 9 a.m. PDT. Sacramento State opened the 2001 Big Sky Pacific Regional by defeating the Vikings, 7-0. Sacramento State owns a 4-0 all-time record over PSU.

Sacramento State will conclude the regional against host Weber State at 1 p.m. PDT. The Hornets defeated the Wildcats back on March 14, 5-0. Sacramento State is a perfect 5-0 all-time vs. WSU.

All matches will be played at the WSU Varsity Tennis Courts.
