Sacramento State had no trouble in singles play as each Hornet gained a victory. Gabriella Lundqvuist led the way in the No. 1 spot with a defeat over Wildcat Therina Steenkamp, 6-3, 6-3. Due to an ankle injury, Wildcat Tiffany Smith retired her match to Amanda Sanches in the second set. This marks the fifth time this season that the Hornet singles have swept all six matches.

Doubles play was also dominated by Sacramento State with every set credited to the Hornets. Roberta Fessenko and Italina Kirknis won their set easily with a score of 8-1, while Sanches and Petra Abraham also gained a victory, 8-2.

In earlier action, Northern Arizona swept every set against Portland State for the victory, 7-0.

Sacramento State next takes on the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky, Northern Arizona, on Saturday, April 13 at Rio Del Oro Racquet Club for day two of the Big Sky Pacific Regionals at 2 p.m.
