Bio:
Gergana Avramova-Hunt is currently in her third year as a volunteer assistant with the Hornets. A former professional on the International Tennis Federation circuit, Avramova-Hunt assists with the day-to-day activities of the team.

In two years as an assistant, the Hornets have combined for a 38-14 record, two Big Sky Conference championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.

In 2008, Sacramento State produced a 21-7 overall record and mowed down Big Sky Conference competition, posting a perfect 8-0 record. Individually, Avramova-Hunt helped coach six players to all-Big Sky honors, including first team honorees Anastassia Lyssenko and Katrina Zheltova, second team honoree Karina Jarlkaganova, and honorable mention performers Joyce Martinez Gutierrez, Luba Schifris and Aileen Tsan.

Zheltova gained All-American status after reaching the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Singles Championships, and was named the Big Sky MVP for the second straight year.
    
A native of Bulgaria, Avramova-Hunt was one of the top ranked junior players in the country. As a professional, she played in European events in both singles and doubles.
