SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State's Saturday match versus the visiting Idaho State women's tennis team was delayed by an hour after overnight rain had the courts to wet too play. Despite the delay and extra effort to dry the courts, the Hornets rolled to a 5-2 win over the Bengals.

Playing in the No. 1 doubles position, Jenna Dorian and Jayden Nielsen quickly defeated their opponents, 6-1.

After Idaho State took the No. 3 doubles match to even the score the duo of Maria Gonzalez and Sofi Wicker battled to a 6-3 win at the No. 2 position to clinch the doubles point for the Hornets.

With the match even, 2-2, the Hornets ripped of three straight singles wins, getting victories from Jenna Dorian, Sofi Wicker, and Jayden Nielsen, in that order.

Jayden Nielsen rounded out the afternoon, picking up Sacramento State's fifth point with a hard-fought and well-earned 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 3.
