OGDEN, Utah – Sacramento State sophomore Olivia Boija has been named Big Sky women's tennis Player of the Week after recording wins in both singles and doubles last weekend against No. 55 Fresno State. The award is the third in as many weeks of competition for Sacramento State.
Boija improved to 3-0 this season in singles against the Bulldogs, posting a 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 win over Anne Susdorf at No. 6. Boija also had a win in doubles, teaming with senior Sophie Lohscheidt for a 6-5 win at No. 2 against Sofya Malysheva and Tanya Murtagh.
Boija, from Stockholm, Sweden, was responsible for both Hornet victories against the Bulldogs and is now 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles on the season. She has also lost just one set in singles play.
