Women's Tennis

BERKELEY, Calif. — The Sacramento State women's tennis team lost a 7-0 decision to No. 9 California on Friday afternoon in a non-conference dual match at the Hellman Tennis Complex.

The Hornets (1-6, 1-0 Big Sky) were defeated in straight sets in all six singles matches as the Golden Bears feature three nationally ranked players.

Rebeca Delgado and Sophie Lohscheidt did make it interesting at No. 1 doubles, where the pair battled the No. 30 ranked tandem of Lynn Chi and Anett Schutting, but the Hornets lost, 8-6.

Sacramento State will continue its difficult non-conference schedule on March 8 at Saint Mary's before returning home to host Big Sky Conference foe Northern Arizona on March 10.
