WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO CREIGHTON, 1-0

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Kelan Brill''s goal in the 79th minute gave Creighton a 1-0 win over the Sacramento State women''s soccer team on Friday afternoon at Hornet Soccer Stadium. Sacramento State is now 0-4-1 while the Bluejays'' record improves to 4-2 on the season.The teams were evenly matched as Creighton recorded 16 shots (six on goal) and the Hornets totaled 14 (six on goal). Lulu Quigley led the Bluejays with six shots (three on goal) and notched an assist for Creighton''s lone goal. Bluejay goalkeeper Jamie Thompson recorded six saves for the win while Hornet junior goalkeeper totaled five saves. Sacramento State hosts Idaho on Friday, Sept. 22, at 4:00 p.m. PST at Hornet Soccer Field.
