Jamie Meehan''s goal in the 99th minute led Idaho State to a 2-1 sudden death victory over the Hornet women''s soccer team, Sunday afternoon at Hornet Soccer Field.
Sacramento State is now 5-7-3 overall and 0-2-2 in the Big Sky while the Bengals improved to 7-8-1, 3-2.
The Hornets got on the board first during the 74th minute when Mandi Siller and teammate Jessica Hewins combined for a goal. The Hornets were unable to score another goal despite putting seven shots on Bengal goalkeeper Shannon Boyle. Hornet midfielder Linda Sanchez led all players with five shots, two of which were on goal.
During the ninth minute of sudden-death overtime, Meehan stole the ball in front of the Hornet goal and kicked it into the bottom left side of the net for the win.
