Caitlin Pulver earned her first career Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week Honors.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State women's soccer player Caitlin Pulver has been named Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

It is the first time Pulver has won the player of the week award. Northern Arizona goalkeeper Lauren Weaver earned the conference's defensive player of the week honors.

Pulver was selected for the award after scoring the game-winning goal for the Hornets in a 1-0 victory against San Francisco on Friday and tallying another score in Sacramento State's 2-1 overtime win against Creighton on Sunday.

On Friday against USF, Pulver pounded a free kick from just outside the box that glanced off the keeper's hands and rolled into the back of the net. On Sunday against Creighton, she took a pass on the left sideline and dribbled near the end line where she made a move around the defender and arched a high shot over the keeper just inside the far post.

Pulver (Roseville, Calif.) now is second on the team with three goals. The senior entered the season with three career goals in her first three seasons with the Hornets. She now has six goals and two assists for 14 career points.

After back-to-back wins last weekend, the Hornets have just one game on the schedule this weekend. Sacramento State will meet San Jose State at 4 p.m. on Friday at Hornet Field.
