WOMEN’S SOCCER DROPS HEARTBREAKER TO IDAHO STATE, 2-1, IN 2OT

SACRAMENTO, Calif.— Carissa Raveaux’s goal in the seventh minute of

double-overtime gave Idaho State (11-4-2) a 2-1 victory over the Hornets

at Hornet Field Thursday afternoon.

The Bengals struck first in the eighth minute when midfielder Korby

Vaughan scored a goal off an assist by midfielder Shannon Blaker. The

Hornets answered right back with a goal by sophomore forward Lisa

Wrightsman off an assist by junior midfielder Desirae Feria in the ninth

minute to even it up.

Bengal goalkeeper Chrissy Nelson earned the win with 10 saves.

Hornet freshman goalkeeper Amy Seely finished the contest with seven

saves.

The loss drops women's soccer to 8-5-2 overall and 3-3 in the Big Sky

Conference.

The Hornets will travel to Ogden, Utah on Saturday, Oct. 21, to take on

Weber State in the regular season finale at 3:30 p.m.
