SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sophomore forward Lisa Wrightsman was named Big
Sky Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Aug.
28-Sept. 3, after scoring the only two goals in a 2-0 Hornet victory
over San Jose State last week.
In addition to last week's performance, the Elk Grove, Calif. native
scored two more goals in the Hornet's 4-3 come-from-behind victory over
Eastern Washington in Big Sky action on Wednesday. She now has a
team-leading 13 points (six golas and one assist) for the season.
In her second year with the team, Wrightsman has been a key factor in
the Hornets' record-setting 4-0-1 start by ranking second among
conference leaders in points and goals. She also is averaging 1.2 goals
per game.
The team (4-0-1, 1-0 Big Sky) will look to extend their record start as
the Hornets host Pacific on Friday, Sept. 8, at 4 p.m.
