SAN JOSE, Calif. -
The Sacramento State women's soccer team lost its 2012 season finale, 2-1, at San Jose State on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game at Spartan Stadium.

The Hornets (5-9-4) finished out the season this weekend as they were eliminated from Big Sky Tournament contention with a loss at Portland State on Friday. The Spartans (5-11-1) close out the year with a win after scoring twice in the final 10 minutes.

Sacramento State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half on freshman Josie Jogwe's first career goal. She was assisted by her fellow freshman, Maggie Pleis, on a shot from 20 yards out.

The Hornets' lead held up until the 83rd minute, when San Jose State's Alyssa Montejo tallied the game-tying goal. Kelsey Lord notched the game-winning goal just over four minutes later in the 87th minute.

San Jose State outshot the Hornets 16-10 in the contest, including 12-4 in the second half. The Spartans also had a 5-1 edge on corner kicks.
