WOMEN'S SOCCER ADDS THREE TO 2012 CLASS

Women's soccer added three more players to its 2012 recruiting class.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's soccer team and head coach Randy Dedini have announced the addition of three student-athletes to the Hornets' 2012 recruiting class.
High school standouts Hannah Gendron and Josephine Jogwe plus transfer Raylene Larot will join the Hornets for the upcoming 2012 season.
The three join Alyssa Anderson, Lydia Bowman, Ashley Cella, Kassidy Kellogg, Jennifer Lum, Maggie Pleis, Jessica Small and McKenna Swanson, who all signed with the Hornets earlier this year. (Early signing release)
Sacramento State's 2012 recruiting class now sits at 11 players.
"With the addition of these players to our already stacked 2012 class we will be deeper than ever before," Dedini said. "I’m very excited about the talent we will have not only for the upcoming season, but for years to come. This 2012 group may be one of the top classes ever for Sacramento State women’s soccer."

HANNAH GENDRON - GK
Davis, Calif. (Davis Senior HS) (Davis Legacy)
A varsity keeper for head coach Sara Stone at Davis Senior HS...allowed just six goals as the Blue Devils tallied a 25-1-1 record in 2011 and won the Sac-Joaquin Section title...did not allow a single goal in her 2010 JV season..posted a 1.22 GAA as a senior...was born in Vancouver, B.C., before moving to Davis when she was two.
Dedini: "Hannah will be a great addition to our team and to our goalkeeper position. She has a very good command of the position, sure hands and the athleticism to be a solid Div. I keeper. She gives us a third very good goalkeeper to compete for the starting position next season." |

JOSEPHINE JOGWE - F
Costa Mesa, Calif. (Newport Harbor HS) (Laguna Hills Eclipse)
A four-year varsity letterwinner for head coach Larry Draluck at Newport Harbor HS...named Sunset League Most Outstanding Attacker, first team all-league and team MVP after her senior season in 2012...a second team all-league choice after her junior year in 2011...helped NHHS to the CIF playoffs in both seasons...also ran track, winning a Sunset League title in the 200 meters in 2009.
Dedini: "Josie is so tall (5-11) and athletic, she will be a force to be reckoned with in the Big Sky. She will be a mismatch against almost every team we play and will thrive with us. She’ll be able to give our team a different look and add a different dynamic up top." |

RAYLENE LAROT - MF
San Jose, Calif. (Evergreen Valley HS/Nevada)
A four-year letterwinner for head coach Michelle Sunseri at Evergreen Valley HS before playing her freshman and sophomore seasons (2009-2010) at Nevada...will be a junior with the Hornets in 2012...made 10 starts while playing in 18 games as a sophomore with the Wolf Pack, scoring one goal and dishing out a team-high five assists.
Dedini: "Raylene is a gifted playmaker who can be the key to unlocking stingy defenses. Her ability to beat players on the dribble and then distribute accurate passes will make her a dangerous weapon for us. She’s a proven collegiate performer who will add depth and quality to our attacking midfield position." |
