Mary Trigg is in her third season
as assistant coach for the Sacramento State women’s soccer
team.
In her first season with the Hornets, Trigg helped land one of the
largest recruiting classes in school history. Trigg and head coach
Randy Dedini signed 12 newcomers for the 2012 season, including
players from California, Utah and Washington.
Before joing the Hornets, Trigg spent three seasons as an
assistant at San Francisco State, helping the Gators to their
first-ever California Collegiate Athletic Association title and
NCAA Div. II Tournament appearance. She also coordinated the
Gators’ recruiting efforts, signing a class of 13 in 2010.
She also served as head coach of the Alpine Strikers club team.
Trigg, a 2007 graduate of Fresno State, played on the
Bulldogs’ undefeated 2006 Western Athletic Conference title
team and in two NCAA Tournaments. She was named Academic all-WAC
three straight seasons from 2004-06. After her collegiate career,
Trigg played professionally for the San Francisco Nighthawks of the
Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
She holds her Advanced National Diploma along with her NSCAA
National Coaching License. Trigg received her bachelor’s
degree in public relations from Fresno State and earned her
master’s degree in sports management with an emphasis in
collegiate athletics administration from California (Pa.)
University.
Trigg is a native of Santa Clara, Calif. and graduated from Santa
Clara High School.
