2006 Season: Appeared in all 13 meets on bars and beam…was the team’s most consistent beam performer, averaging 9.742…scored 9.900 at Utah State and at UC Davis…those scores are tied for second in school history…11 of her 13 beam scores were at least 9.700…her final nine routines were at least a 9.750…averaged 9.806 during that span…tied for sixth at the WAC Championships with a 9.775…on bars, she tied her career high with a 9.625 at the WAC Championships…also recorded that mark against UC Davis on Mar. 12.
2005 Season: Reached the NCAA West Regional as an event specialist on beam…tied for 25th in the meet with a 9.725…was named first team all-MPSF and tied for second at the league championships with a 9.850…averaged 9.679 on the event during her first year…appeared in all 13 regular-season meets on both vault and beam…scored at least 9.700 in nine meets…career-high 9.875 came against San José State on Feb. 4…averaged 9.502 on vault…also had one exhibition on floor.
Prior to Sacramento State: As an elite-level gymnast, she won the all-around, beam and bars titles at the 2002 U.S. Challenge…placed second in the all-around at the 2003 American Challenge…while competing at level 10, she won the beam and finished fifth in the all-around at the 2002 Junior Olympics…was the state champion in the all-around and on bars that same year…competed at the club level for Sierra Gold.
Personal: Born May 4, 1984...majoring in public relations…a 2002 graduate of Charter Community School in Placerville, Calif…parents are Jeff and Tamara Genovese.
