2007 Season: Defended her WAC floor title by tying for first at the championships…earned first team all-WAC honors on beam, floor and the all-around…was named to the second team on vault…led the team on floor at the NCAA West Regional with a 9.775 to tie for 15th…ended the regular season ranked 19th nationally on floor with an RQS of 9.890…tied the school record, twice, with an all-around of 39.350…finished first on floor 11 times and won the all-around in seven meets…set career highs in all four events plus the all-around…scored 9.825 on vault and 9.875 on beam at the WAC Championships…twice scored 9.900 on bars, including at home against San Jose State…recorded two floor routines of 9.925…along with Genovese, became the first two Hornets to compete in the all-around in every meet of a season.

2006 Season: Named the WAC Freshman of the Year…won the floor title at the WAC Championships with a 9.825 and tied for second in the all-around with a 38.875…was sixth in the all-around and tied for fifth on floor at the NCAA West Regional…was ranked as high as fourth on the floor in the West Region…averaged 9.818 on floor, 9.688 on vault, 9.568 on bars, 9.562 on beam and 38.746 in the all-around…was in the beam lineup for all 13 meets…led the team with six all-arounds…best score was 39.100 at UC Davis on March 17 which is tied for seventh in school history…top vault score of 9.775 and top bars score of 9.750 came against UC Davis on March 12…scored 9.825 on beam at UC Davis on Mar. 17…had three-straight 9.875s on floor for her career high…only two of her 10 floor scores were below 9.800.

Prior to Sacramento State: Trained at Pozsar’s Gymnastics in Sacramento…qualified for level 10 regionals twice…in 2005 at the state championships, she was first in the all-around, on beam and bars, was second on vault and third on floor…was seventh on beam and seventh in the all-around at regionals in 2003…competed in the Russian Championships in Moscow in 2002…was trained by her mother during her first two years.

Personal: Born June 6, 1987  in Kaliningrad, Russia…moved to the United States in 2002…plans to major in child development…a 2005 graduate of Encina HS in Sacramento…is the oldest of five children…has two brothers and two sisters…parents are Svetlana Iakounitcheva and Vladimir Iakounitchev and Andrey Borisov.
