2010 Season: Competed solely on beam in 10 of the team’s 11 meets…finished the season with an RQS of 9.510 and an average of 9.328…scored 9.825 on beam at Utah State…was part of the beam team which scored 49.275 at USU for the second best score in school history…also competed for the Hornet track & field team as a pole vaulter…was the Big Sky outdoor champion and set the school record at 13-feet, 5.25 inches.
2009 Season: Competed in nine meets as a beam specialist…scored 9.825 in a quad against Cal, UC Davis and Seattle Pacific for her season high…had six scores of 9.500 or better, including her final four of the year…in track & field, she set the school record by clearing 12-feet, 10-inches in the pole vault at the NCAA West Regional.
2008 Season: Emerged as one of the top beam performers on the team…after a low score in her first routine of the year, she scored at least 9.675 in the next six routines…set her career high with a 9.850 at Utah State…had three 9.825s during the season, including the NCAA West Regional where she tied for 11th…her average of 9.660 ranked second on the team behind Melissa Genovese…tied for first place on beam against Seattle Pacific…in track, she finished second at the Big Sky Championships in the pole vault and qualified for the NCAA West Regional…became the first Hornet to qualify for two NCAA postseason events in different sports in the same year.
2007 Season: Worked her way into the beam lineup for four meets…scored 9.800 at Cal State Fullerton for her career high…had an exhibition of 9.450 in the season opener…also competed for the Sacramento State track and field team in the pole vault…top mark was 11-05.75 at two meets.
Prior to Sacramento State: Competed for the Clovis Academy of Gymnastics…was a three-time regional qualifier for level 10…finished seventh on bars and ninth on beam at regionals in 2006…named the team’s most valuable gymnast that same season…teamed with current Hornet Traci Takeda at Clovis Academy.
Personal: Born Sept. 23, 1988…majoring in economics…a 2006 graduate of Buchanan HS in Clovis, Calif…competed in gymnastics and track and field for the Bears…was twice named the team’s gymnastics MVP…cleared 11 feet in the pole vault to finish fifth at the Valley Championships…team won the Valley Section track and field title her senior season…parents are Jay and Catherine Norvell.
