TONI PETERSEN AND JAMI SCOVILLE COMPETE AT THE WEST REGIONALS AT UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif.-- Senior Jami Scoville and sophomore Toni Petersen represented the Hornet gymnastics team at the NCAA West Regionals in Los Angeles, Calif., as event specialists Saturday evening in Pauley Pavillion.

Scoville, a senior from Kaysville, Utah, recorded a 9.575 on floor exercise as a part of the UCLA rotation. Scoville ends her Hornet career by leading the team with an RQS of 9.860 in the event. coville recorded a career-high 9.9 on two occasions this season, placing her third in program history. She is also fourth all-time on beam with a score of 9.825 during her sophomore season.

Petersen, a sophomore from Fresno, Calif., earned a score of 9.600 on the uneven bars while also competing in UCLA's rotation. Petersen led the team with an RQS of 9.825 this season and tied her career high of 9.850 at the Western Independent Championships. Overall, she tied her career-high 9.775 on beam and recorded season highs of 9.550 (vault), 9.875 (floor) and 38.925 (all-around) in her second season with the Hornets.
