TONI PETERSEN AND JAMI SCOVILLE EARN A TRIP TO THE WEST REGIONALS AT UCLA

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-- Senior Jami Scoville and sophomore Toni Petersen

will represent the Sacramento State gymnastics team at the NCAA West

Regionals in Los Angeles, Calif., as event specialists, it was

announced today. UCLA will host the event on Saturday, April 7, in

Pauley Pavillion.

Scoville, a senior from Kaysville, Utah, will be performing

on floor exercise after finishing the season with an RQS of 9.860 in

the event. Scoville recorded a career high 9.9 on two occasions this

season, most recently at the Western Independent Championships last

week, placing her third in program history.

Petersen, a sophomore from Fresno, Calif., earned a

postseason spot on the uneven bars after leading the team with an RQS

of 9.825. This season, Petersen tied her career high of 9.850 at the

Western Independent Championships.
