GYMNASTICS CLOSES SEASON AT NCAA WEST REGIONAL

LOS ANGELES — Three Sacramento State gymnasts closed out their 2010 season at the NCAA West Regional at UCLA on Saturday night. The trio was comprised of Eryn Stubblefield in the all-around, Cayla Boyce on beam and Nicole Meiller on vault.

Stubblefield finished 17th in the all-around with a score of 37.450. The senior tied for 21st on vault with a score of 9.725. A fall on bars left her with a score of 8.575 and she scored 9.475 on beam to place 39th. Stubblefield's final score was a 9.675 on floor which tied her for 32nd.

Boyce was making her regional debut and tied for 14th on beam with a score of 9.725. Arkansas' Casey Jo Magee was first in the event with a 9.900.

Meiller received a 9.750 on vault to tie for 18th. UCLA had the top three finishers on vault, including Anna Li who won with a 9.950.

UCLA and Arkansas advanced to the NCAA Championships by finishing first and second, respectively. The host Bruins scored 197.825 while the Razorbacks tallied a 196.675.
