HORNET GYMNASTICS FALLS TO BOISE STATE, 194.525-191.975, AT BOISE STATE PAVILION

BOISE, Idaho-- The Hornet gymanstics team suffered their first loss of the 2001 season to the Broncos of Boise State, 194.525-191.975, in Boise State Pavilion Saturday evening.

Sophomore Toni Petersen, who competed in Boise at the 2000 NCAA Championships, earned third-place in all-around competition with a 38.45.

Senior Jolane Parr finished third on floor exercise with a score of 9.8 while Petersen and junior Wendy Baisdon tied for fourth-place on the uneven bars with a score of 9.775. Sophomore Jenny Ball placed third on vault with a 9.75.

Bronco senior Annie Kaus won the vault with a 9.8 and the bars with a 9.9. Junior Tiffany Weston won the beam with a 9.85, the floor with another 9.85 and the all-around with a 39.025.

The Hornets will return home to Hornet Gym to host UC Santa Barbara and Seattle Pacific on Friday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m.
