  • GYMNASTICS POSTS SEASON HIGH FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

    Taylor Weber tied for first place on bars, Jordyn Brent tied for second on vault and Kendra Braida was third on beam to guide the Sacramento State gymnastics team to it’s best score of the season on Friday night in a four-team meet at UC Davis. The Hornets totaled 192.675 to surpass their previous high by nearly a point, and finished in third place. George Washington captured the top spot at 194.350, UC Davis was second at 192.975 and Alaska Anchorage was fourth at 189.600.
  • GYMNASTICS TRAVELS TO UC DAVIS FOR FRIDAY NIGHT QUAD MEET

    The Sacramento State gymnastics team will begin its longest stretch away from home this week as it travels to UC Davis for a four-team meet which includes Alaska Anchorage and George Washington. The meet, which is the first of three consecutive road meets for the Hornets, will take place on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.
  • GYMNASTICS SETS SEASON HIGH IN THREE-TEAM MEET AGAINST PAC-12 FOES

    The Sacramento State gymnastics team scored a season best 191.725 but finished in third place against No. 21 Arizona and No. 27 Oregon State on Friday night at The Nest. The Wildcats took the team title with a score of 195.425 while OSU totaled 194.875.

  • GYMNASTICS PLACES FIFTH AT NORCAL CLASSIC

    Jordyn Brent tied for third on floor and fifth on vault to lead the Sacramento State gymnastics team at the ninth-annual NorCal Classic on Sunday at UC Davis. The Hornets finished in fifth place in the meet with a score of 189.675. Cal edged Stanford as the Golden Bears outscored the Cardinal, 194.950-194.700. San Jose State was third (193.850) with the host Aggies placing fourth (193.550).
  • GYMNASTICS TO COMPETE IN NORCAL CLASSIC ON SUNDAY IN DAVIS

    The Sacramento State gymnastics team will compete in the ninth annual NorCal Classic on Sunday, Jan. 12, at UC Davis. The five-team meet will begin at 2 p.m. Along with the Hornets, the NorCal Classic will consist of California, San Jose State, Stanford and UC Davis.
  • BRENT, WEBER EARN MPSF HONORS FOLLOWING FIRST MEET OF THE SEASON

    Two Sacramento State gymnasts were recognized for their performances in against UC Davis by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, it was announced today. Jordyn Brent was named the MPSF Gymnast of the Week and Taylor Weber earned the MPSF Freshman of the Week award.

    The Sacramento State gymnastics team began the 2020 season with wins from Jordyn Brent in the all-around and floor and Taylor Weber on bars but fell just short in a 191.825-191.175 loss to UC Davis at The Nest on Sunday afternoon.

  • GYMNASTICS INKS MORGENTHALER AND TAVENNER TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

    The Sacramento State gymnastics team added the first two members of its 2020 recruiting class with the signing of Emma Morgenthaler and Torri Tavenner to National Letters of Intent, it was announced today. The pair will both enroll as freshmen in the fall of 2020.
  • MELISSA GENOVESE ELEVATED TO ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH
