SEATTLE — The Sacramento State gymnastics team posted its third consecutive score of at least 194 points and cruised to a pair of wins over Alaska Anchorage and Seattle Pacific on Friday night at Brougham Pavilion. The Hornets scores 194.075 to easily surpass host SPU (192.285) and UAA (191.950) who each scored season highs.

Caitlin Soliwoda tied for first in the all-around and on bars and added a second place finish on vault and beam and a tie for fourth on floor to lead the Hornets. Soliwoda scored 9.750 on floor and received 9.800 on the other three events to finish with a total of 39.150. That score tied her with Seattle Pacific's Darian Burns for the all-around title.

The Hornets started the meet on bars and took an immediate lead with a 48.750. Jackie Sampson and Caitlin Soliwoda each scored 9.800 to share first place. Sacramento State completed the sweep of the top three with a 9.775 from Courtney Soliwoda.

Courtney and Caitlin Soliwoda each scored 9.800 to tie for second place on beam in the second rotation. Those two scores along with the help of a 9.700 from freshman Kendra Braida helped the team score 47.825. The Hornets had two of its six gymnasts fall during the rotation, forcing the team to count one miscue among its total.

Sacramento State bounced back on floor with a total of 48.825. The team had three of the top five scores in the event led by Annie Juarez who tied for first place with a 9.850. Jennifer Brenner continued her resurgence with a 9.825 to place third and Lauren Schmeiss and Caitlin Soliwoda tied for fourth at 9.750.

The team closed out the meet on vault with a 48.675 to secure the win. Once again, Sacramento State showed its consistency with three of the top five scores. Caitlin Soliwoda placed second with a 9.800 to finish just behind Burns who won the event at 9.825. Alexis Belkoff and Annie Juarez each received a 9.750 to tie for fourth.

The Hornets will have their final regular season road meet of the season next week as they compete at Boise State on March 2. The team will then have a pair of home meets before the MPSF Championships on March 24.
