2014 Season: Was in the lineip for seven meets on floor…scored a career high 9.775 at Cal/Washington…averaged 9.664 during the year…also had six exhibitions on vault with a high of 9.725 at Stanford/Arizoan…earned the Hornet Award which goes to the Sacramento State student-athlete who does the most in the community.

2013 Season:
Competed on vault in four meets…missed the first seven meets of the season due to a shoulder injury…made her debut with an exhibition against UC Davis…scored 9.800 at the WAC Championships to set her career high…also scored 9.775 against Utah State.

2012 Season:
Primarily competed on vault where she was in the lineup for four meets and had four exhibitions…scored 9.650 at Boise State for her high…received a pair of 9.750s in exhibition routines…also competed on floor in one meet with two exhibitions.

2011 Season:
Was used primarily on vault as a true freshman…also saw action on bars and floor…was in the vault lineup for eight meets…had a best of 9.675 at the Lady Luck Invitational against Kent State…also scored 9.675 against Utah State and in the three-team meet featuring Boise State and UC Davis…best bars score was 9.475 at California.

Prior to Sacramento State: Competed at the club level for South Coast Gymnastics for 13 years…was named the club's Gymnast of the Year in 2008…was the state vault champion in 2008 and placed third at regionals.

Personal: Majoring in speech pathology…graduated from Mission Viejo HS in 2010…parents are Angel and Laura Montoya…sister, Amelia, was a member of the Utah State gymnastics team.
