FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. --- The Sacramento State women''s golf team finished in third place at the NAU Mountain Shootout on Tuesday. The Hornets were led by senior Jennifer Parkes who shot 79-75-154 to tie for 12th place.
Cal Poly maintained its first day lead and won the event by 11 strokes. The Mustangs finished at 302-304-606 while Ferris State was second at 314-303-617. Sacramento State (308-319-627), Northern Arizona (318-320-638) and Grand Canyon (326-326-652) completed the top five.
Despite not competing as a team, San Diego State had the top two finishers. Anna Booth shot 74-74-148 to become the medalist. Maki Kamimura was one stroke back in second.
Parkes was followed by Emily Longcrier who shot 79-77-156 to tie for 16th. Erica Haney tied for 19th at 77-81-158 and Margaux Sheehan shot 73-90-163 to tie for 26th. Heather LeMaster completed the lineup at 81-86-167 to tie for 37th.
