RENO, Nev. --- The Sacramento State women''s golf team recorded its third-best 54-hole score in school history to finish second at the Wolf Pack Invitational on Wednesday. The Hornets shot 320-300-313-933 and finished 13 strokes behind the host Wolf Pack.Emily Longcrier tied for seventh place with rounds of 79, 73 and 81 to record the top finish for a Sacramento State golfer. Senior Margaux Sheehan had the low round on the team on Wednesday to move into a tie for 10th. Sheehan shot 78-85-72-235. Her third-round 72 tied two others in the field for the lowest round of the tournament which was held at D’Andrea Country Club (Par 72, 6,044 yards). It is also tied for the fifth-lowest round in school history.
Erica Haney tied for 13th at 82-77-78-237 and senior Jennifer Parkes was 18th at 85-74-82-241. Heather LeMaster completed the Hornets scores by tying for 19th with rounds of 81-76-85-242.
Nevada''s Nicole de Gennaro was the medalist. The senior shot 78-74-73-225.
